Jahresveranstaltung des UNIBUND-Mentorings 2025

As part of this year’s UNIBUND Mentoring annual event, representatives from the universities of Halle, Jena, and Leipzig came together at Friedrich Schiller University Jena for an intensive exchange. The event offered many valuable insights on academic careers and gender equality in science.

The program began with a keynote speech by Dr. Lena Weber on the topic “Women in Science – Making Careers More Attractive”. She highlighted key challenges and areas for improvement.

After the keynote, participants joined small discussion groups (themed tables), where they shared personal experiences and professional perspectives in an open and respectful atmosphere. One of these themed tables was moderated by our program coordinator and continued later in a lively fishbowl discussion. Together with postdoctoral researchers, the Vice President of Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and the Rector of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, important topics were further explored.

We are already looking forward to the 2026 annual event – which will take place at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

UNIBUND-Mentoring: New Tender 2025 (new Deadline: 18.04.2025)

From June 2025 the mentoring programme for female postdoctoral researchers, provided by the universities of Halle- Wittenberg, Jena and Leipzig, offers eight places at each university for highly-qualified female postdocs, researchers undertaking a 'habilitation', junior scientist group leaders and junior professors, to support them in their development and future careers.
